I spent a month hitch hiking around Iceland, camping by glaciers, volcanoes, fjords, lakes and beaches. I also climbed climbing mountains, hiked on active volcanoes, saw hundreds of waterfalls, rid Icelandic horses, and retired into the wild for a few days. I found myself in loads of new and exciting situations thanks to hitch hiking, which gave me the true local experience (and also the true tourist experience when I got picked up for almost a week by 4 Russian girls).
In the time that it takes to blink, I get dozens of memories from this incredible trip. For me, this adventure around Iceland was about making some more dreams come true while facing some of my fears to get rid of them (and it worked). But it was also about just improvising every day by doing whatever I felt like, whenever I felt like.
